Raleigh Movers Who Know the Triangle
Need to find movers in Raleigh, NC? Wellknown Moving helps people move within Raleigh and to and from Cary, Morrisville, Durham, Chapel Hill, and other nearby areas. We plan around the parts of the job that cause delays here most of the time. These include the I-440 beltline corridor, the I-40/I-440/US-1 interchange area, and the I-40 Triangle region between Raleigh, RDU, and Durham as a whole.
We do have a license and insurance for our business. We can get the COI ready ahead of time if your building needs one before you move in.
Moving from Raleigh isn't always as simple as going from A to B. For an apartment move in downtown, you might need to coordinate street access. For a move in Wake County's suburbs, it might depend more on HOA rules, timed loading zones, townhouse access or where to put the truck. Raleigh Parking is in charge of issuing construction parking permits, and the city's Right-of-Way Services says that Raleigh Parking is also in charge of issuing parking passes for moving vans and other similar vehicles.
Making the crossing into Durham changes how things work. If you live in downtown Durham and the apartment blocks are closer together, you may need to coordinate the right-of-way or get a permit to park on the street as a contractor. The fee schedule that Durham puts out there shows both contractor parking permits and on-street parking space permits. That's why we handle moves from the Raleigh side to the Durham side differently, even if the distance is only a short distance.
When it comes to the market near RDU, Morrisville, and the Brier Creek/RTP side, building access is more often than distance a problem. In newer apartment buildings, move-ins are often controlled by loading zone windows, service elevator bookings, truck size limits and proof of insurance. We make sure of these things before the moving day, especially for buildings near airport corridors where RDU curbside entry rules and ongoing roadwork around John Brantley Boulevard can change the schedule near Aviation Parkway and I-40 on the airport side.
🛡 Transparency and Guarantees:
We don't hide fees, and basic protection is included with every shipment. We take care of all the planning ahead of time if your apartment or office needs a COI, elevator reservation or loading-dock window.
In the Triangle, August is its own moving season. When people move in for the autumn, NC State uses appointments, given routes and unloading areas. Moving in at UNC-Chapel Hill needs to be scheduled through the Housing Portal. Duke gives each building its own move-in dates and temporary unloading zones. If you are moving during student move-in week and will be near Hillsborough Street, Chapel Hill, or Duke/downtown Durham, you should book and start your move earlier.
Are you moving across the Triangle, to Five Points, Oakwood, North Hills, Brier Creek, or Downtown Raleigh? We know where older homes have stairs that are narrower, where controlled buildings need dock or elevator reservations ahead of time, and how to time your route to save an hour. You can hire us to move your apartment, house or office in Raleigh. Before the truck comes, we plan the move around building rules, entry, parking and traffic.
